For nine days in October, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta® creates an enchanted world of special-shaped balloon rodeos, twilight balloon glows, and vibrant balloon-filled skies.
Brisk autumn mornings in the Rio Grande Valley create an otherworldly backdrop for the breathtaking majesty of our most popular event, Mass Ascension of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta®.
During the 2021 Balloon Fiesta, more than 540 hot air and gas-filled balloons were launched The event hosted pilots representing 7 countries and more than 70 food and merchandise vendors.
The Balloon Fiesta is the premier international ballooning event, powered by the typically perfect October climate and a phenomenon called the "Albuquerque Box," (a combination of weather patterns and geographic landscape, the box allows balloonists to control and even retrace their adventure)

After dinner we will enjoy a night on the town in Downtown Albuquerque or Nob Hill where cocktail bars, breweries, wine bars, restaurants and dance clubs are clustered in walkable areas ...or we can hit Albuquerque's casinos!

Get your kicks on Route 66! We will have breakfast at 66 Diner and begin our tour of the historic Route 66. Home to the nation’s longest continuous stretch of Route 66 within a single city, Albuquerque has a long list of must-see roadside oddities and landmarks you don’t want to miss.
Running through the heart of the city along Central Avenue, this historic highway leads travelers through some of the city’s most beloved neighborhoods and is still a jumping off point for transportation. Home to eclectic shops and unique restaurants, Route 66 is adorned with buzzing neon signs, vintage artifacts, and epitomizes Albuquerque's unique attitude. You can experience an authentic fusion of old and new along Route 66 in Nob Hill, the University area, Downtown, and Historic Old Town.
