KENYA! 2021

Nairobi. Masai Mara. Mombasa.

February 21 - March 3, 2021

Highlights include:

Enjoy this epic GoGIRLS! Kenya 2021experience of

  • Two nights in Nairobi

  • Two nights in Masai Mara

  • Four nights in Mombasa.

NAIROBI

East Africa's most cosmopolitan city, Nairobi is Kenya's beating heart, an exciting, maddening concrete jungle that jarringly counterpoints the untrammelled natural beauty to be found elsewhere in the country.

Nairobi's character ensures the city is reviled and loved in equal measure. The city's charms include a vibrant cultural life, fabulous places to eat and exciting nightlife.

With a fabulous national park on its doorstep, some wildlife-centric attractions, the excellent National Museum and the famed Giraffe Manor, Nairobi is not to be missed.

MASAI MARA

The Masai Mara National Reserve, or "The Mara" as it is affectionately called, is one of the top safari destinations in Africa. Its wide-open plains provide a sanctuary for an abundance of animals like elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, hyena and the Mara’s famous big cats: lion, leopard and cheetah.

You’ve seen pictures of the main inhabitants of The Mara – adorned with the brilliant red, blue and purple patterns of the shukas they wear. The men with their spears, tall and proud. The women bejeweled with bright beaded earrings and scarves. These are the some of the oldest inhabitants of East Africa, the Maasai people.

The Maasai live in mud-thatched villages, surrounded by their cattle and smaller livestock. For hundreds of years the Maasai have roamed the lands of Kenya living a free, nomadic lifestyle.

MOMBASA

Mombasa, a melting pot of languages and cultures from all sides of the Indian Ocean, is home to Diana Beach one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Diana Beach casts the Image of a miniature paradise for any traveler coming across it for the first time. Dotted with swaying palm leaves, soft white sand, shimmering ocean as far as the eye can see and the cool breeze teasing your senses, you cannot find such magnificence anywhere in the world.

The true heart of Mombasa is found in the exotic old town, among the narrow winding streets and Arab architecture. The air here is always heavy with the scent of spices. At the water’s edge is Fort Jesus, an imposing fort that stands watch over the harbor.

Day 5 - Thursday, February 25, 2021 | MASAI MARA

Rise today for breakfast. As the cool, fresh Kenyan air fills your lungs you will feel invigorated,  rejuvenated, and ready for a great day to explore Kenya's flagship reserves.

As we begin our safari, roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop up roof hatch and enjoy the unhindered 360 degree views ...and the possibilities of all that lies ahead.

Masai Mara is one of the lushest reserves in Africa and is globally renowned for providing excellent sightings of the Big Five in their natural habitats.

A gourmet lunch will be served back at the camp's restaurant, Isokon, that overlooks the main pool with a backdrop of the beautiful forest cover that surrounds the camp.

In the late afternoon we will visit an authentic Masai Village. The first thing you will notice as you enter the village is the many vivid colors of the Masai's garments. The bright shukas they wear contrast beautifully with the greens and browns of the landscape. Adding to this display of color is the brightly beaded jewelry - necklaces, bracelets, and amulets - worn by the women and the men.

We may get to experience the villagers singing and dancing ...and you might even be able to join in! The Maasai are known for their rhythmic call-and-response singing. Perhaps their most widely known dance is the adumu or "jumping dance".

We will return to our safari camp. Experience Dinner in the Bush experience. (Optional) Sarova Mara Game Camp has built a solid reputation for producing inspiring gourmet meals in a remote and wild setting. Standards of food preparation and culinary protocol are unmatched elsewhere in the bush. Close your eyes and imagine dining in the open, under the stars ...magical!

GOT QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. May flights from my city be included in my package?

A. Flights for this group trip are available from JFK only.

Q. Do roommates have to make their reservations at the same time?

A. It is not necessary for roommates to save their spot at the same time. However, if there is only one person on the reservation who has paid her deposit, the single occupancy rate will apply. If and when a roommate books her part of the reservation, the reservation will revert to the double occupancy rate. Please note: Naming your roommate in the comments of a reservation request does not make a reservation eligible for double occupancy. Double occupancy rates apply only when two people on a reservation have paid deposits.

A. Yes. Send an email to travel@ebonyvacations.com and Include the date to start your payments, the amount of each payment and the dates the payments are to be processed.
