OUR ACCOMMODATIONS
RIU PLAZA HOTEL NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE
The soaring glass and steel 20 story tower is a five minute walk from Times Square and Broadway. The hotel higher floors boast epic views of the city and Hudson River.

Located on the corner of Eighth Avenue and 46th Street, the Riu Plaza Hotel's extraordinary location makes it the ideal spot from which to enjoy the authentic pace of New York life and an interesting array of cultural and leisure activities.

Walkable highlights include Times Square (a four-minute walk), Bryant Park (10 minutes), Radio City Music Hall (13 minutes), Rockefeller Center (14 minutes).
Theaters are in abundance, which is a treat for Broadway fans, and there’s an endless supply of bars and restaurants to explore nearby. Restaurant Row on 46th Street, in the same block as the Riu, can be reached in two minutes on foot.

The Riu Plaza Hotel New York Times Square has three dining options, Fashion bar, "The Theater Buffet" and the Capital bar, with its Grab & Go concept.
Your package include a hot breakfast buffet of pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and coffee.

All guest rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows. Bathrooms are spacious with large vanities. Each room has a mini-fridge and free Wi-Fi. Enjoy unlimited access to the gym.

Welcome to New York City! Check into the Riu Plaza New York Times Square. Located in the heart of New York City, the Riu Plaza New York Times Square is a four -minute walk to Broadway and Times Square!
This evening we will get together at the GoGIRLS! Welcome Dinner to meet each other and make new friends.
​
After dinner we will embark on a walking tour of the exciting, vibrant sights and attractions of Times Square as we wind our way to the iconic Empire State Building.
From the 86th floor of New York’s most famous open-air observatory, take advantage of the spectacular 360° views and see all of NYC at night including the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and so much more.

Get ready to experience NYC as a real New Yorker ...we will ride the subway to get back to our hotel.

Breakfast at the Riu Plaza New York Times Square’s “The Theater Buffet” Restaurant
Our double decker bus picks us up to start our bus tour to discover NYC! What is a better way to begin our adventure than to hop a ferry and visit the Statue of Liberty?!
The NYC Bus Tour includes the 9/11 Memorial, Wall St., NYSE, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Bridge, Little Italy, Chinatown, and much more!
We will stop by a few of the sights for photos. After our tour, our bus will return us to our hotel. (Lunch is not included.)

OPTIONAL: 8:00 PM - Broadway Show - TINA - The Tina Turner Musial (Rate TBD)
This is the show to see! You will be "rolling, rolling on the river" right along with Tina. The
Lunt-Fontanne Theatre is a three-minute walk from the Riu Plaza New York Times Square.

Our driver will pick us up and whisk us uptown to Harlem to visit the one and only Apollo Theater, home of “Showtime at the Apollo”. Immerse yourself in the experience as the vibe of all the greats who have performed at the Apollo engulfs you. Rub the Tree of Hope and take a selfie on the Apollo stage!
OPTIONAL: Carriage ride Central Park.
Horse-drawn carriages …Central Park. This is the magic that is NYC! Pass by many historical landmarks of the Central Park. Maybe you will see a celebrity out for a Sunday jog through the park. (Rate TBD)
OPTIONAL: Tea at The Plaza
For over 100 years, The Palm Court at The Plaza has been New York City’s iconic destination for Afternoon Tea. Come and get your bougie on …pinkies (or brownies) up! (Rate TBD)
Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

This is an escorted GoGIRLS! group trip. Females only, please. Girls 12 and over are welcome.
Government issued picture identification may be requested before confirmation of reservation. Failure to provide requested identification will result in rejection of the reservation request. We reserve the right to refuse any reservation. Decisions are final.
Cancel Fees
If cancelled before 6/27/21 your fee will be $100.00
If cancelled between 6/27/21 and 12/20/21 your fee would be $300.00
If cancelled between 12/21/21 and 1/21/22 your fee would be $600.00
If cancelled between 1/22/22 and 2/21/22 your fee would be $800..00
If cancelled after 2/22/22 all monies paid are non-refundable.

Q. Can flights from my city be included in my package?
A. Flights for this group trip are not available.

Q. Do roommates have to make their reservations at the same time?
A. It is not necessary for roommates to save their spot at the same time. However, if there is only one person on the reservation who has paid her/his deposit, the single occupancy rate will apply. If and when a roommate books her part of the reservation, the reservation will revert to the double occupancy rate. Please note: Naming your roommate in the comments of a reservation request does not make a reservation eligible for double occupancy. Double occupancy rates apply only when two people on a reservation have paid deposits.

Q. Can I set up a payment plan?
A. The Confirmation-Receipt you will receive when your reservation is confirmed will provide a link to request your payment plan.

Q. Who is Ebony Vacations?
A. Ebony Vacations is the travel agency extension of GoGIRLS! Black Travel Club.

Q. Does GoGIRLS! offer roommate matching?
A. Because each guest is better at selecting a roommate than we are, we do not offer roommate matching. We do post for roommates on the Facebook page so members may contact each other.

Q. If something comes up and I cannot go on the trip, can I get my deposit back?
A. Deposits are nonrefundable.
